FIFA 19: 7 Things We Already Know

1. The Champions League Is Coming

Securing the rights to Serie A and B must be nice for EA, but it pales in comparison to snagging the monumental Champions League license for use in FIFA 19. Now Konami's decade-long partnership with UEFA has ended, EA are set to swoop in and nab it for themselves.

That's huge news for anybody who prefers FIFA's style overall.

The Europa League license will come along for the ride too, and that means no more "Champions Cup" or "Euro League" nonsense in the new game. Finally, those Career Mode saves will come to life with that patented Champions League anthem, the official match ball and a greater sense of immersion in real-world football.

This is one of the biggest coups in recent FIFA history. Armed with UEFA's most precious European competitions, 19 should be the licensing beast that EA always wanted. Now, if only they could get their hands on the Camp Nou again...
