Ruud Gullit once famously talked about sexy football, and when it comes to sheer sexiness with a football, it’s hard not to think about Zinedine Zidane.

To the casual football fan, Zizou is best remembered for two vastly different World Cup campaigns. There was the 1998 World Cup in which Zidane drove France to victory, and then there was the 2006 World Cup where the creative genius was sent off for a headbutt on Marco Materazzi as France lost the final to Italy.

While Zidane had crafted a growing reputation for himself with Bordeaux, it was his move to Juventus in 1996 that saw the hugely skillful Frenchman take his game to a whole new level. And that’s before he joined the Galacticos at Real Madrid in 2001.

Some lesser FIFA players may not be all that keen on the idea of adding Zinedine Zidane to Ultimate Team, with him not particularly known for his pace, yet this was a player who could glide past man after man with his sheer touch, awareness and body shape. Technically, there has never been anybody better than the mercurial Zizou. For FIFA purists, they’ll be drooling at the prospect of hopefully seeing Zidane added to FIFA 20’s icon stars.
