FIFA 21: 10 Improvements To Career Mode We Want To See
3. Being Able To Apply For A Wider Variety Of Jobs
One of the most frustrating things about being a manager on FIFAs career mode is the extremely limited opportunities available for a gaffer looking to take their career elsewhere.
As it stands, when a manager is attempting to seek pastures new, they are restricted to a measly selection of clubs to choose from.
This is particularly true if you fancy challenging yourself with a drop down the leagues without having to completely destroy your reputation in the process.
It would be better if players had the option of offering their services to any club in the game. I mean sure, if you're struggling in the lower reaches of League Two you're probably not going to be taking charge in an El Classico anytime soon but still, a wider variety of choice would benefit the game substantially.
Again FIFA could borrow some of the elements seen in games like Football Manager to completely enhance the immersive experience, but with career mode now seen as nothing but an afterthought, it is unlikely that even incremental changes for the benefit of the mode will take place in the coming years.
