FIFA 21: 10 Most Shocking Ratings
1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Normally when a player gets a downgrade in FIFA, players can roughly work out why it has happened. Even though anyone who watches the player will disagree with his downgrade, it is likely that Thiago Alcântara's lack of goals and assists last season played a key role in EA's decision to downgrade him this year. However, when you consider that as the reason it makes even less sense that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang received a nerf in FIFA 21.
The Arsenal forward was crucial to the upturn in fortunes the north London side had under Mikel Arteta, scoring 29 goals in all competitions and providing three assists, including a host of winning goals in crucial games for the Gunners.
Despite this, EA's attitude to lowering player ratings across the board this year has meant that the Gabonese striker has been downgraded from an 88 to an 87. While this attitude to ratings isn't a bad thing, the fact that Aubameyang, who had his best season so far in an Arsenal shirt, got downgraded and Roberto Firmino, who had a rather average season, was given an upgrade is difficult to justify.
