2. David de Gea

Just two years ago, David de Gea was viewed as the best goalkeeper in the world by EA, who gave him a staggering 91 rated card in FIFA 19. De Gea was crucial for helping steer Manchester United through a particularly difficult time on the field; the Spaniard put on a range on incredible performances in high-profile games such as against Tottenham where he made eleven saves in the second half.

However, the last year and a half have not been kind to the 29-year-old; not only has the quality of his goalkeeping deteriorated at an alarming rate, but he now faces stiff competition from the likes of Alisson and Manuel Neuer for the title of the best shot-stopper in the world.

De Gea's decline in form over the past couple of seasons has resulted in a massive downgrade from EA this year. Rated at just 86 this year, it is clear that EA view De Gea as being a long way past his best. Regardless of form, it is still surprising to see a 'keeper so widely lauded just two years ago given such a middling rating.
