1. Sephiroth
The baddest of them all. The silver-haired SOLDIER, Sephiroth is the best character in the entire game.
We first get a glimpse of Sephiroth in the Niebelheim flashback. He's very cool, calm, and professional.
We get to see his awesome power when he goes into battle with Cloud/Zack at his side. That's the first time we'll see materia at master levels. During the flashback, we'll see him find out the truth about his origin and the ensuing mayhem he causes is one of the most chilling parts of the game. We all know the music and the scene with him stepping through the fire.
In present day, he is the antagonist that our party, Shinra, and the Turks are all looking for. Sephiroth has the power to destroy the planet and must be stopped. Finding and defeating him and Jenova leads to some of the greatest hours of video game playing we'll ever experience.
