Final Fantasy 7 Remake: 10 Story Changes That Have Already Happened
1. Sephiroth Appears In Midgar
Easily the biggest change that Square has shown us is that Sephiroth, the platinum-topped antagonist from the original game, will be appearing in the first part. This is fascinating alteration, especially considering that Sephiroth doesn't show up until after the party has left Midgar.
As we know that the first part of the remake takes place entirely in Midgar, his appearance in this opening act is rather intriguing. Some fans may worry that this is veering into the dubious realm of fan-service, but being that this is a multi-part story, it does make sense to bring your antagonist in as soon as possible.
Furthermore, Sephiroth's appearance looks like it will be rife with sadistic glee, as the villain is seen tormenting Cloud. Voiced by Tyler Hoechlin, the CW's Superman, what we have heard already sounds like a remarkably eerie performance.
