Final Fantasy XV: 5 Awesome Things (And 5 That Suck)
7. Character Interaction And Personalities Are Fantastic
Speaking of manga hairdos, do you have a beef with gelled up Black Veil Brides-looking Japanese rockstars? Probabl- no? Good, because that's the aesthetics out the way. Instead if you're capable of taking a glance at a style clearly meant to be in-keeping with an entire other world of possibilities and not getting too hung up on it, what's left is to focus on the brilliant chemistry your four characters have together. Playing as his Highness, Noctis, you're the silent one, then there's friendly Cloud-lookalike Prompto, bodyguard-bruiser Gladiolus and healer/advisor-role Ignis. The story goes that they've been tight for years, and part of the game's appeal is throwing these road trip-happy guys into the wilderness, just to see how they get on. The game excels in making you feel like you're just as much along for the weird 'let's go camping!'-style approach as they are, and as the combination of knowing they're more familiar with the world than you (yet haven't ventured far outside the city walls) meshes with the beasts and experiences you'll all have out in the wild, it's one hell of a premise that comes across flawlessly.
