Final Fantasy XV: 5 Awesome Things (And 5 That Suck)

8. Those Graphics...

Pointing out something looks great on next-gen is like saying you're going to watch any clip of Justin Bieber falling over for half an hour - it's just an inevitability. Still, some titles like The Order: 1886 and Evolve elect to stick to very brown and grey palettes throughout, suiting their style to the ground yet providing nothing to write home about - whereas others like Far Cry 4, Hotline Miami 2 and here in XV flesh out the colour palette considerably, spicing things up with gorgeous particle effects and varied character models. Naturally in creating a world that's half 'Earth-like' and half the most glorious fiction there's a heady mix of manga hairdos alongside the packets of Chocobo feed or fully-rendered gas stations you can wander around in - but all of it is treated with the utmost care and attention. It really is a stunning game, and one that if you were looking for something to show off on your new hardware, more than has you covered.
