Despite not appearing for France at the World Cup due to the wealth of other quality options available to Didier Deschamps, Mangala's core physical attributes should make him a formidable rock at the heart of the Citizens' defence - with his pace and power arguably the only thing separating himself from the very capable Matija Nastastic. His height and imposing presence alone will result in Man City having a star-studded and physically frightening back four, with the fearsome Frenchman able to match plenty of strikers stride-for-stride.
