Football Manager 2016: 10 Essential Fan Demands It Must Include
8. Youth Academies
Players are brought into the game aged 14 and above, but for the vast majority of sides, developing a 100% homegrown youth talent up to the level of your first team is virtually impossible. Not every team will produce a full crop of future first team players in real life, but most teams can usually nurture some talent up to a decent level, and implementing youth academies would raise the odds of finding a new hero within the team's setup. Barcelona's La Masia is a stunning example of how they can be used effectively. The majority of top flight clubs have academies running all the way down to infant age. The stats wouldn't need to show up for each individual child, but a basic knowledge of the inner-workings of the youth system, along with names, an idea of potential, and a football philosophy would help managers mould a batch of young players ready to join their under 18 squads.
