9. More Variation To The Social Media Feed

Adding a social media feed to FM was one of SI's most divisive decisions in 2017. Some people love the chance to see Twitter comments add immersion to the game's world, whereas others feel it's worth switching off lest you be battered relentlessly with repetitive messages.

The latter unhappy campers have a point. Social media in FM 2018 continued down the path of monotony by throwing the same lazy comments at players time and time again.

Seeing less of the same tweets pop up every few days or weeks would help the suite become a more important part of FM overall. It's a tricky one for the developers, obviously, because social media is hardly the most critical part of the game and it is avoidable.

Even so, the prevailing feeling from hardcore fans is that fan feedback or press meddling could be better implemented if there was a bit more variation to the feature. That's something SI should think about, especially for a game so focused on realism.
