Club: Dinamo Moscow

Nationality: Polish

Price: £7.5 million

Sebastian Szymanski is your classic hidden gem when it comes to Football Manager 2022.

One of the great things that Szymanski brings to the table is his affordability. For somewhere around £7.5 million - or possibly even a little less - you can persuade Dinamo Moscow to let the Polish international leave.

Whereas some of the CAMs featured elsewhere on this list could be labelled 'luxury players' in some circles, Szymanski is far from that. Rather than having to cater your tactics to him, this is a hardworking grafter who will run all day for you. To highlight this, there's starting numbers of 17 for determination, 16s for all of stamina, teamwork and work rate, and some nice 15 stats for anticipation and off the ball.

In a technical sense, Sebastian Szymanski may not be quite as good as some of the other options on this list, but he has plenty of scope to develop, and this is a player who will run through brick walls for you. Also, it's worth noting that he is more than comfortable playing out on either flank in addition to his natural position as a CAM.
