Club: Lyon

Nationality: French

Price: £24 million

For Lyon's Maxence Caqueret, he has one of the best potential ratings on Football Manager 2022, period.

Whether you snap up Caqueret or not, this is a player who is guaranteed to go on and become a true superstar. And for £24 million, it could be a wise call to add the 21-year-old to your ranks if its financially viable.

A France U21 international, Maxence may not be the strongest of defensive midfielders in terms of actual strength, but he makes up for that with sheer energy, as shown by impressive starting numbers for stamina (16), work rate (16), aggression (15), determination (15) and teamwork (15). There's also a lot to work with here on the more technical aspects of Caqueret's game, with 15s for passing, technique, vision and first touch.

Putting it in simple terms, Maxence Caqueret is a total pest to play against. He'll run for days, he'll put in the hard yards in, he won't get tired, and he'll generally make a nuisance of himself - all while being technically good when in possession.

Considering this is a player who some saw as a dark horse to make the France squad at Euro 2020, it's only a matter of time before one of Europe's major clubs come calling for Caqueret - both in FM and in real life.
