Club: Hoffenheim

Nationality: Austrian

Price: £11 million

Florian Grillitsch is one of those players who you need to get in for as soon as possible if you have any serious interest in him. And for sure, you absolutely should have this ball-winning midfield on your radar.

The reason why the Hoffenheim player should be pursued sooner rather than later, is the simple fact that a lot of the traditional 'big boys' will be sniffing around Grillitsch throughout the first season of FM22.

Not just is the 6'2" Austrian a trusted option to use as in a ball-winning role, but his composure, first touch and passing - all of which clock in at 15 - mean he can just as impactful as a deep lying playmaker or a carrilero, either as in a standard CM position or further back in the CDM spot.

As an added bonus, Grillitsch's contract expires in June 2022, meaning you can get a pre-contract agreement in place in January for him to join you free in the summer or you can simply opt to pick him up for the bargain price of £11 million. Of course, while that 'free' option is obviously appealing, the aforementioned interest in the player means you might want to fork out the cash to get this one over the line rather than risk someone else swooping in for him.
