Football Manager 2022: 10 Goalkeepers You Must Sign

9. Illan Meslier

Club: Leeds Utd

Nationality: French

Price: £25 million

Currently in his third season with Leeds Utd, Illan Meslier is still only 21 years of age. Considering two of those three seasons have seen Meslier playing regular Premier League football, that's quite the indicator of how talented the former Lorient player is.

When taking into account the rapid career ascension the France U21 international has seen so far, the sky is the limit for Meslier both in the real world and in FM. With the correct training, this is someone who can end up being one of FM22's absolute best goalkeepers a few years down the line.

If you get in early enough with Meslier, a fee of £25 million or so should have Leeds agreeing to let one of their star assets depart Elland Road. That said, if you wait until three or four seasons into your game before turning to Meslier, you could well end up paying upwards of £65 million for the 'keeper.

Whether you view him as one for the future or one for right now, Illan Meslier would be a smart piece of business for anyone starting up a new FM22 save.
