Club: Arsenal

Nationality: English

Price: £70 million

In Aaron Ramsdale, you've got a goalkeeper who could be England's #1 for the first decade of Football Manager 2022. Having signed for Arsenal this summer, Ramsdale will usually end up replacing Jordan Pickford as England's first choice 'keeper before end of 2021 when playing the latest FM.

You likely won't be able to get Arsenal to give up Ramsdale in the first season, but he's certainly a signing worth weighing up once that first year is out of the way. An offer of £70 million should be enough to secure this deal, with the Stoke-born stopper's young age - he's 23 when the game starts - meaning you could get at least six or seven seasons out of him.

Already a good 'keeper when FM22 starts, the former Sheffield Utd player has plenty of scope to improve and develop into an elite 'keeper. He also has great leadership skills, meaning he's an option if you're looking for a long-term captain who can be one of the foundations of your all-dominant team. It all just really depends on whether you can get Arsenal to drop their hefty asking price.
