Whether it's real-life, Football Manager, FIFA, eFootball or even the glory days of Sensible World of Soccer, one of the most important things in football is momentum.

In Football Manager 2022, there will be a fresh focus on just how important momentum is in a match.

As part of the focus on statistics and analysis, FM22 will give you the chance to see which way the momentum is swinging as your players looking to nab you a priceless three points. Portrayed on a bar chart, gamers will be able to see a clear indicator of whether the momentum is with them, or whether instead they're painfully on the backfoot as your opponent dominates.

By including such a new feature, this obviously allows you to make any necessary changes. So, if the momentum is against you, you can bring on that extra CDM to calm the nerves, or up your pressing game to force your opponents back into their own half.

On the other side of this, being able to see a real-time momentum indicator will also let you know when you're on top in a game and should help you guard against complacency.
