Was there ever any doubt about the top spot?

You can count on one hand the number of young players in world football that are as exciting as Barcelona's Guinea-Bissau-born 18-year-old phenom. He is probably the closest to a second coming of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo that this generation of footballers will get.

Fati is an extraordinary talent with a genuine chance to become the world's best player both in reality and, more importantly, in Football Manager. If you've got money to spend, he should be at or near the top of your shopping list.

You won't find a player that combines blistering speed with smooth dribbling, on the ball skills with off the ball movement, and explosive flair with lethal finishing, as well as this guy, even in players much older than him.

Barring any injury issues (knock on wood), signing Fati sorts one of your forward positions -- and he can play all three -- for a decade and a half, or at the very least until a more exciting regen comes along. And for that, he is probably worth every penny of the £42 - 126 million price tag.
