3. Matías Arezo

Club: River Plate Montevideo

Nationality: Uruguayan

Price: £1.5 million

You may be able to get him for less than the £1.5 million fee noted here, but just pay the damn price!

For £1.5 million, River Plate Montevideo will agree to sell you one of the genuine superstars of tomorrow. In Matías Arezo, there's a world class striker waiting to explode onto the scene in a couple of years time.

If you're a small side in one of the traditional big leagues, Arezo is someone who could actually be a part of your first team squad from the get-go. For other larger clubs, this is the classic prospect who you need to immediately sign, develop with some high level coaching, maybe send out on loan for a year or two, and then you'll have a player who is one of the most lethal strikers on Football Manager 2022.

When this young Uruguayan starts to properly hit his stride by the age of 21 or 22, this is a forward who is more than capable of averaging more than a goal a game across a season. While Uruguay have been famed across the past decade or so for having top level strikers in the shape of Diego Forlan, Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez, it seems as if Matías Arezo is destined to be next in line to drive his nation in their quest for glory.
