7. Crank The Sensitivity Way Down

It's unclear whether it's the fault of a recent patch or if the game has always been like this, but the base sensitivity of the aiming in Fortnite - at least on console - is absolutely horrendous.

Jumping into a game without tweaking the settings will almost guarantee a quick death for most players, as the default aiming speed is so off that you can't get a good shot on anyone, leading to few of your rounds actually landing.

Even if you're only a few meters away from them and holding a shotgun, there's still a good chance that enemies will be able to get the killing blow before you can centre your aim.

It's not the most glamorous tip, but a quick jump into the settings to make sure the sensitivity is at a level for you could make your time in Battle Royale much more enjoyable and responsive.
