5. Don't Worry About Experience
With so many games nowadays making it so you have to grind side-quests just to unlock all of the abilities (looking at you, Assassin's Creed: Origins), it's refreshing to see God of War give you more than enough experience to get everything just from playing the story.
Simply playing God of War from start to finish with no extra content completed will net you more than enough experience points to unlock all of the special moves for Kratos and Atreus.
Although the start of the game will have you picking what you want to unlock first, by the second half you'll be able to get everything.
This is fantastic when you consider that even the original God of War trilogy didn't actually let you fully upgrade your weapons in one playthrough. With the huge amount of side-content that God of War lets you complete, it would have been easy for Sony Santa Monica to force players to do it all to get by, so it's great to see them let players play however much or little they want.
