God Of War: 10 Helpful Secrets You Need To Know

6. Buying Armour Is Usually A Waste

There's really no need to buy armour sets in God of War, except for at the start of the game. Brok and Sindri may be great craftsmen, but it's a big waste of your Hacksilver.

The absolute best sets of armour in God of War come from completing side missions strewn about the world, and from simply exploring around the Lake of Nine. Everything from Axe Pommels to Chest armour can be collected from the world, making buying anything from the pair a bit pointless.

When exploring the realms of Muspelheim and Niflheim, Kratos can choose to buy special sets of armour to help make the realms a little less frustrating. This is really the only time the game gives good incentive to buy armour, as these areas can actually be quite challenging.

Armour for Atreus only comes from the shop as well, but if you want to make Kratos as strong as possible then you simply need to complete favours. Keep your Hacksilver for resurrection stones.
