Another little Easter Egg that can be discovered after beating the main narrative, if Kratos and Atreus head back to Alfheim with Mimir on his belt. Return to the Temple which is now in control of the Light Elves and you will find a new scroll that reads the following:

The Light is ours again, but these is no time to lose. Only the return of Lord Freyr can secure peace. Surely we are liberated by forces sent forth at his command, like the sword of legend. But Freyr himself remains lost, and now we must come to his aid. Some believe he had returned to Vanaheim, while others believe he is held in Asgard. Both paths are now found shut. With the temple secure, all Elf-kind is called away to seek out our lost lord.

In Norse Mythology, Freyr is the brother of Freya, the Witch of the Woods who aids Kratos and Atreus on their journey, and is ultimately foreshadowed as a potential future antagonist.

Interestingly, both realms that the Light-Elves reference are closed off through the Bifrost, so it is not possible for players to seek out Freyr.

However, don't be surprised if Freyr is brought to the forefront, to either aid or face his sister on the warpath.
