GTA 6: 10 Killer Features That Would Make It Great
8. Destructible Environments
This is something the GTA series has been crying out for since day one. It may not have been possible on PS2 with favourites like GTA 3, Vice City or San Andreas, but there's absolutely no excuse for it now; GTA 5 should be the last time we're taken down by a mere fire hydrant Rockstar didn't bother to program, or a small wall that's apparently made of solid steel.
Carving a path of carnage through the streets of whatever city Rockstar choose to include is a must in the new game.
It's something the developers could also use to weave stories. Say you and a gang of miscreants wreak havoc on the city at large during one bank heist, causing the mayor to shell out millions in repairs. Should that damage be instantly mended? No, it really, really shouldn't.
Little touches like diverting the attention of the city's police forces by blowing up some buildings, only to sneak into a bank at the other side of the map when everyone is preoccupied, sound exciting. Blowing bits of the city to pieces is the future.
