1. GTA Online’s Success Won’t Derail It

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Zelnick told conference-goers that Rockstar wouldn't "think twice" about releasing 6 just because GTA 5's Online suite is performing well. The company expect that Online will always bring in the dough, but they're keen to push things along by upping the ante for it in 6.

This has been a bit of a hot topic amongst gamers for years. 5 is about to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as an enhanced update on the old PS4 and Xbox One releases. They themselves were refurbished versions of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the same game.

Rockstar are ready to modernise the Online mode's functionality in GTA 6 and bring things in line for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Of course, 5 is only releasing on modern hardware so that the few who haven't enjoyed it since 2013 can get the most souped-up edition. All three of those people.

It'll still sell millions.
