GTA V: 10 Awkward Features That Need Improving

3. Physical Interaction

Throughout the GTA series, the only way you ever physically interact with anyone in game (and I don€™t mean during cut scenes but when you€™re in control of the protagonist), is by showing them. Whether you€™re running at full pelt or simply walking at a leisurely pace, if you walk into someone, friend, stranger, or cop, you€™ll push them, sometimes completely over. I get that GTA protagonists are sort of meant to be douchebags, but do they really need to be that obnoxious? For GTA V, I sincerely hope that, in the interest of realism of course, R* have hammered out this mechanic so that it more closely resembles something like Assassin€™s Creed, where you€™ll sidle through gaps, edge around people as they walk by, and stumble yourself should you run full pelt into an approaching citizen. True, I guess this isn€™t of immediate importance to the GTA franchise; if anything my criticism represents a very minor gripe. But GTA V must represent significant improvement from the last game right, even in relatively unimportant areas? Otherwise, what€™s the point? But having said that, I€™d be surprised if this wasn€™t something that was already on R*€™s agenda.
