GTA V: 10 Awkward Features That Need Improving

4. Cinematic Camera

I spoke to a guy recently who swore by GTA€™s consistently featured cinematic camera. He said he€™s used it non-stop while he played the game since GTA III. Apparently, if you get your head fully around the concept and start incorporating it properly into your sessions, it€™s an absolutely mind-blowing feature which adds a whole new level of dramatic depth to the experience. I tried using it in GTA IV, for about five minutes, and while yes, it is awesome in its way, it€™s also nigh on impossible not to collide with something on an average of about once every four seconds. In GTA III and Vice City, activating this cinematic mode would reduce the number of cars spawned on the road, meaning it was much easier to incorporate but as far as I can tell in GTA IV, traffic is the same regardless of where the camera is. Given the fact that GTA V represents improved graphical capability and a revamped engine, I€™m quite keen to use see cinematic mode in action, but only if it doesn€™t detract from my actual enjoyment. I€™d like to see a revamped cinematic mode that, if it doesn€™t reduce the flow of traffic, at least reads the road a little bit more specifically, switching angles more intuitively to allow for the best strategic view in the moment while also remaining cinematic (as opposed to just cycling through various angles after your car has disappeared from view).
