With Grand Theft Auto banned in Brazil at various stages, a Malaysian MP is currently calling on his peers to have the game banned there as well, according to
Kotaku. His rationale? The US and the UK have ALSO banned GTA V. Apparently. Of course, GTA V is very much available in those aforementioned countries, and fortunately has not been blacklisted. Gamers are often portrayed negatively in Malaysia. Politicians prefer to blame computer games for the country's rising crime rate, rather than looking at other contributing factors such as poor education and poverty.
