GTA V: 10 Ways It Will Make History

9. Storytelling

Rockstar have always been famed in the gaming world for their incredible aptitude for storytelling within the games they produce, not only in the GTA franchise, but in practically every title on their roster (case in point: Red Dead Redemption). But should they ever fail to evolve, gamers will eventually adopt the familiar "what have you done for me lately" attitude that we're so infamous for. Luckily R* are one of those companies that seem to be in a constant state of evolution; I mean, you only have to look at the recently revealed GTA details to see that in action. On the back of the multiple protagonist announcement comes the notion that in GTA V, we're in for an entirely new brand of storytelling; one told from multiple perspectives as opposed to just the one. If you're asking me (which by reading this article, you technically are) this could potentially evolve the maturity of GTA's story delivery, adding depth and shaping it to look more like a series of The Wire than another simple sandbox shooter. Ah, R*: working every day to prove that video games can be art.
