11. The Playboy Mansion
There are a number of references to real life venues and buildings scattered around Los Santos, including the Bishop's WTF building, which takes off Ripley's Believe It Or Not, with its exhibitions including a cake ("half cow, half snake, no bull") and the eye-fish. And unsurprisingly for a game so gloriously and self-consciously debauched, there's also an homage to the empire that Hugh Hefner built on titillation. Though you frustratingly can't enter it from any entrance, the Playboy Mansion appears in the game, and players can explore the grounds, including the famous pool, complete with waterfall and hidden grotto. There's no sign of Hugh himself, but if you head back to the mansion at night, you too can experience the many wonders of a Playmates party, with topless women scattered around the place... It's definitely a shame you can't explore the interior of the building, and perhaps use the facilities as they were intended, but the homage is still a great one.
