10. Back To The Future
Another movie reference, this time to the Back To The Future series. This one really has to rank at the ninja level for discovery, since it's pretty much the most subtle Easter egg uncovered in the game so far (arguably just ahead of the Jackie Brown apartment homage already discussed). So, kudos to Dawn of The Nerds who posted their own discovery of the egg. Rather than an overt reference to the film, which could be spotted from a mile off, Rockstar continued their impressive commitment to the finer details and to those fans who revel in discovering little gems like this, by suggesting that one particular generator in the Sandy Shore area of the map is massively over-powered, to the tune of 1.21 Gigawatts. Could it be that Rockstar are referencing the incredible Back To The Future mod that appeared for GTA IV, or are they just as big fans of the films as is everyone else in the world? Either way, that's a seriously nerdy little egg.
