GTA V: 5 Things We Want To Learn From The Preview

2. Multiplayer

The other key element of the new GTA games, and one that rarely comes up in conversations, is the online aspects. While we can expect that the online game will be a smaller entity within the main article, it will likely be included as well. Rockstar's focus is shifting more into deep online play rather than just allowing the player to run around and do things at will. While this approach works well, mostly, in Max Payne 3, the less competitive nature of Grand Theft Auto does not lend itself well to this style. Hopefully, Rockstar has backed off enough to let the online mode breathe rather than the unbalanced mess of confusing menus and insanely over-powered kit that is Max Payne 3. It's a good online game, but it is much like Uncharted 3 in the fact that higher level players always win because of their gear. After that mini-rant, what do we want to learn about the online play? Well, firstly the game modes and whether or not the maps introduced in the Ballad of Gay Tony are back, as well as some more information about customisation, how open the world is and how the crews will work. But there may be a snag there. Rockstar is currently looking for feedback regarding crews in GTA V, so maybe the details surrounding this will be scarce as it would appear that they might not yet be finalised. And finally, the thing we all want to know....
