2. Character Switching

We all knew in advance that we'd be able to switch between three central protagonists, and we're pleased to say, this new mechanic works, and works well. Character-switching is primarily used in missions so that we see the point of view of more than one protagonist during a heist, for example, but it's also a handy feature to have outside of missions, too. Considering the sheer size and scale of Los Santos and Blaine County, traversing the entire map can seem like a daunting experience, considering the world is bigger than GTA San Andreas, GTA IV and Red dead Redemption combined. However, once all three characters have been unlocked, you can switch from Strawberry, home of Franklin, to Rockford, Michael's neighbourhood, and Blaine County at the press of a button, which makes exploration that bit more negotiable. You may have noticed we mentioned characters need to be unlocked first. To begin with, the game picks up with Franklin and his dead-end job at an Armenian car dealership. After completing a series of missions however, Michael comes into the game and the two team up, without wanting to give too much away.
