GTA VI Wishlist - 12 Essential Things Fans Demand

12. Far More Interiors

Remember Sony's The Getaway? One of the biggest selling points back in the lead-up to release was the idea that you could dive into any interior, doing things like grabbing a burger at a McDonalds to evade the sightline of the cops, or ducking through an office to lose your pursuers. Obviously in the end the PS2 didn't have the power to do this whatsoever, and although the game was still brilliant, this sort of feature amounted to not a whole lot more than preview-hyped hot air. Cut to GTA and with Vice City many will remember the amazing feeling of going inside your first safehouse on the Miami strip. Interiors were something Rockstar floated all the way back then as being something important to general gameplay, but aside from shops and a few story-specific locations across the last few GTAs, there's not been much to write home about. Still, fans crave the option to duck indoors or through apartments and back doors etc. to get around, and it's the perfect excuse to reenact pretty much any fugitive scene you've seen on the big screen, but with the nearest gaming has come to doing outdoors and interiors simultaneously being Assassin's Creed III, there's a lot of work yet to do.
