Hitman 1 & 2: 10 Best Levels So Far
3. Situs Inversus (Hokkaido)
There's something about infiltrating a location that hosts the world's richest that's so satisfying and makes for some of the best levels. Taking place in a state of the art private hospital on the summit of a mountain in Japan, this level is another example of 47 being more Bond than hitman.
A private hospital that offers medicines and surgeries not permitted anywhere else, this facility strips 47 of all his weapons. Hokkaido will have you traversing mountain sides dressed as a ninja, or sneaking through the morgue to find your target's replacement heart.
The targets are Erich Soders, an ex-ICA agent with a rare congenital condition, attempting to leak the names of ICA operatives to Yuki Yamazaki, a lawyer and secret Providence operative. Soders is an interesting target that has history with 47.
Assassinations here are some of the most creative yet, as Soders is about to undergo surgery and relies almost entirely on technology that could easily go wrong. Hokkaido has some of the best easter eggs too, seeing the return of Agent Smith, an Interpol agent that appeared in previous games.
Hokkaido is near perfect, utilising all of the space on the map and offering a variety of assassinations and opportunities that break free from the generic methods of completing a mission.
