Hitman: 10 WORST Ways To Die
5. Bringing The House Down
The Curtains Down mission of Blood Money is a perfect encapsulation of what a Hitman game should be. The multiple opportunities here are already great, but that you can chain two of them together is even better.
Having Alvaro D'Alvade killed by someone else's hand with the switched gun is beautiful enough, but it's second target Richard Delahunt's death that really seals it. Shocked by events unfolded, Delahunt seeks to make his escape from the scene.
And he would have gotten away with it if it weren't for that pesky agent 47 rigging the chandelier high above. Sure enough, timing it right and dropping the massive light source onto Delahunt like a proverbial trick shot is icing on the cake.
Like most elaborate setups in the Hitman world, this one does take some preparation. Yet as classic cartoons have taught players, dropping unnecessarily large objects onto someone is always going to be funny.
What unfolds is such a tragic series of coincidences that it would be fit for its own opera. So in essence, 47 is responsible for a meta-tragedy of his own engineering. Bravo.
