Guerilla Games have given Forbidden West a release window of 2021. This could be an early launch title releasing in Feb 2021, which is the same month as the first game (after a delay from 2016). If not an early 2021 title then maybe a Holiday 2021 release for when the PS5 has more users.
It is unknown whether the launch of Horizon Forbidden West was affected by the Coronavirus pandemic as the reveal trailer was the first official bit of news we have had about the game. The fact that we're only starting to see the trailer and news from Guerilla Games now would generally mean that the game is still a way off of launch.
It is possible, however, that we simply haven't seen the trailer before now because it is a PS5 game and Guerilla Games wanted to wait for the official PS5 reveal to announce it. Who knows?
