Horizon Forbidden West: 9 Things We Want To See
2. Expanded Parkour
All good action-RPG games need, ironically, a break from all the action. Horizon does this with it’s parkour and climbing.
Scaling the old ruined buildings of The Metal World was one of the most exhilarating parts of the original game, despite being pretty liner. Options are limited when it comes to an open world of this size, understandably, but Aloy’s move set could still be fleshed out.
When it comes to combat, Aloy’s arsenal is huge, so incorporating these into traversal, while adding a few more could only add to the immersion. Add a rope feature to her bow to swing across gaps or climb steep cliff faces, for example. She has also proven herself to be more than capable of climbing, so it would make sense that her move list for traversal would have more variety.
Lara Croft, eat your heart out.
