How A Splinter Cell Script Should Read

In an ongoing series at WhatCulture, we dive into some of our favorite gaming franchise and how they might possibly start in order to get Hollywood off on the right track. With Shadow of the Colossus and Bioshock already behind us, we look forward to a game that has been getting much attention recently, Splinter Cell. Recently we heard that Ubisoft were developing a Splinter Cell movie but will they get it right? Stealth action defined the series from the beginning. Players were thrust into the role of Sam Fisher, a stealth master and all around badass, that provided security and peace of mind for America. Sam Fisher manipulates darkness and light in order to disappear from enemies and reappear like a ghost. This defined the series. With the most recent installment, Splinter Cell: Conviction, the franchise seemed to move away from the solid focus on stealth concealment by embracing the likes of Jason Bourne. The game evoked a sense of fast-paced brutality, while attempting to retain the stealth elements that made it a house hold name. Just as anything does in the gaming industry, Splinter Cell evolved. As we dived through the long line of titles in the franchise, we have tried to retain what makes Splinter Cell worthy of being brought to life on the screen. Without further delay, I present to you the vision for how a Splinter Cell film could possibly begin. Enjoy! Let us know what you think in the comments below! Is this a great start to bringing our favorite Third Echelon agent to the big screen, or have we totally missed the mark? Previously; 5 Actors For Splinter Cell: The Movie
