3. Wake-Up Attacks
This is definitely more of an advanced technique, and probably won't do you much good outside of ranked matches, but wakeup attacks can nonetheless be extremely useful in the right situation – especially if your opponent is unprepared.
A wakeup attack can be performed by using a special attack while your character is on their back. So essentially, the only way to do this, is to get beaten down first.
Whilst your character is lying on their back, staring skywards and wondering if they left the oven on, inputting the command for a special will result in them immediately performing the attack instead of the animation to get up.
Not only is this useful for surprising your opponent, but it also allows you to control your counterattack, as opponents who have been knocked down cannot be harmed until they get back up.
