LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Early Reactions To Our Hands On Time

1. It’s Worth The Wait

Somewhat atypically for a tie-in, LEGO The Force Awakens doesn’t hit consoles until six months after the film it ties to. That must have presented some fairly specific problems, but thanks to innovations in gameplay, lots of stream-lining and brand new story levels, it doesn’t show.

From everything I experienced from the gameplay (including the new E3 demo build), the game is absolutely worth the wait. Unlike most of movie tie-ins, it doesn’t feel rushed, it has incredible detail and it is as charming and as entertaining as every LEGO game before it.

Rather than feeling like it’s taken six months to come out, it very much feels like TT have purposefully taken those six months to get it right and to make it rewarding for fans. As a result, even this early on, it might well be the best LEGO Star Wars game so far.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released on Tuesday 18th June across consoles. Seriously, buy it.
