One of the most unattractive and underappreciated roles in the NFL is undoubtable the o-line. The benefit of a good o-line will always help focus attention on either the quarterback or the running back.

Quenton Nelson will be a staple in not only the Indianapolis Colts line up but the NFL for the next decade. Nelson’s base stats are astronomical for a rookie and show how important the o-line is with the rookie ranked top of the 2018 draft class with a staggering 83.

The strength rating of 97 is outdone only by Mdamukong Suh across the whole of Madden 19, so a comparison to this man mountain is as good as praise gets. In the low 80s for both run and pass blocking, Nelson is already fully rounded and will be a day one starter.

David Bakhtiari has the job of protecting Aaron Rodgers, a monumental task. He is the best offensive lineman in Madden 19 with 93 pass block power and 97 pass block finesse. This is important when protecting a quarterback that rarely uses his runningback. While the run block is not as good as the pass block, Bakhtiari is fully rounded with 78 block power and 81 block finesse.

Without the blocking force up front, an offense won’t even manage to get a first down. Truly the unsung heroes of the NFL.
