The recent revelation that the PC version of Mafia 3 was locked at 30fps naturally sent owners of the game into overdrive, meaning that the limiting framerate and overall pretty shoddy optimisation for the PC port has resulted in the game enjoying a tidal wave of negative reviews on Steam.

Thankfully however it seems as though the devs have already acknowledged the port's shortcomings and hours after the game hit shelves announced that a patch to include support for 30, 60 and unlocked frame rate settings was coming soon.

Although it doesn't really heal the wounds for those early adopters, this patch to improve the game's optimisation is allegedly going live this weekend, meaning that if you're a PC fan and wanting to pick up Hanger 13's attempt at the franchise then you should probably hold off a few days.
