Marvel's Avengers: 10 Ms. Marvel Comics Fans Must Read
6. Civil War II
Marvel undertook an almost impossible task when it came to creating a sequel to the epic Civil War storyline, with fans still divided on the book to this day. While Kamala didn't really appear in the main storyline, she still had a big role to play.
Kamala is invited to meet Carol Danvers on the Alpha Flight space station about a "time sensitive" matter. Danvers wants to take a new Inhuman from New Attilan to work for her. She sees him as a means of ending conflicts before they ever start. However, The Avengers and certain governments aren't happy with the idea, as it is essentially profiling people before they commit a crime.
Kamala and her team are the first to test out the new system, however she has a change of heart after Aamir's girlfriend tells her about the racial profiling that happened in her neighbourhood. Things take an even worse turn when one of the targets turns out to be Kamala's friend, Josh, while her best friend, Bruno, is nearly killed in an explosion trying to free Josh from his captors.
Kamala's actions may have been the spark for Civil War II, but her own story is much more personal and heart-breaking.
