4. The Story

For a long time nothing was known about the premise of Mass Effect Andromeda, and though some notable details have been revealed, its still largely a mystery. All that is known so far is that the yet to be revealed protagonist is sent to explore the Andromeda galaxy in order to find humanity a new home.

This is certainly an intriguing premise, but this severe lack of information has led to much speculation regarding the why and when of this story. However, nothing has been officially confirmed; for all we know Andromeda could take place far beyond the trilogy. With the game so close to finally being released, E3 should be used as a venue to officially pull back the curtain a bit on the story.

Obviously nobody wants the plot spoiled, but some context and glimpses into the emotional stakes would go a long way towards getting fans pumped to jump into another Mass Effect game. So much mystery has surrounded Andromeda for so long, and fans want to know that it is worth getting invested in again.
