11. Extracting To The Tempest No Matter Where You Are

Once you've unlocked the Nomad, be sure to take it with you at every opportunity. Most of the time, environmental hazards will necessitate this, but there's an even better feature of the vehicle that was also the case with ME1's Mako - the ability to extract straight back to your ship.

To do so, just hop into the Nomad and hold Triangle/Y to get the hell outta Dodge, and it's worth noting that any Research Station can also be used to call the Nomad. These checkpoint-type devices get summoned from the Tempest whenever you get close to their markers on the map, and stay there afterwards.

So, whether you've already got the Nomad on-hand or need to call a Research Station and get it down to the surface, either will let you get inside and beam back to the Tempest far faster than returning to where your ship first landed.
