Medal Of Honor: Ranking The Series From Worst To Best

4. Medal Of Honor: Heroes And Heroes 2

For this entry, I choose to group these two efforts together. Released in 2006 and 2007 respectively, both games were actually quite similar. The only Medal of Honor games to be released on the PSP handheld console, Heroes 2 was also released on the Wii. The first game's storyline was tailor-made for fans of the previous games. You take the role of Lieutenant Jimmy Patterson, who was the star of the original Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Frontline, Sergeant John Baker from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough, and Lt. William Holt from Medal of Honor: European Assault. The campaigns take place in Italy, Holland, and Belgium. In a nice touch, it also wrapped up the stories and loose ends of these characters. The structure of the missions was simple yet effective, with the player having a number of tasks such as sabotage, infiltration, and capturing certain objectives. Heroes 2 was received in a similar manner to its predecessor. Here, you take on the role of Lieutenant John Berg. The game had a very specific setting in the form of the Allied invasion of France in 1944. Put simply, these games delivered exactly what they promised: a fun FPS handheld experience. There was a limited advertising campaign for both, and it was clear that by this stage EA had an eye on developing the modern-day Medal Of Honor of 2010.
