Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: 10 Reasons It Won't Live Up To The Hype

7. Poor Camera

One of the first things that struck me about Revengeance when you (finally) get to the end of the opening cut-scene is how unintuitive the controls are. The left analogue stick is used to control the camera, while the right stick is used to control the direction and frequency of your slashing. The problem is that it doesn't feel very attuned to how people play these sorts of games; it's irritating, and the fact that it doesn't compensate for where the L-stick might be pitched during general movement means you often end up pointing the blade where you don't want it to be. Granted, this is just something, like any game, you have to get used to, but would it have killed them to design the controls to be a little more user-friendly?
