2. Who Is Skull Face?

Theories on this freakish villain range from Ocelot to The Boss, Kaz Miller and even the helicopter paramedic that assumedly perishes in the crash following the events of Ground Zeroes. We don't know a huge amount about SF other than he's one twisted dude (he forced Chico to rape Paz, whilst recording it), his parents were killed in a Hungarian bombing raid and, as you can see, he was horrifically burned during the incident. It's very likely that the character is exactly who he appears to be, an original creation of Kojima's who took on the moniker of 'Skull Face' because that's all that was left after his life was taken away from him. However, regardless of his sickening deeds (that Snake is fully aware of), the trailers show him 1. Arriving at Mother Base at some point, and 2. Travelling in the back of a jeep with Snake. Something somewhere down the line either reveals that SF is not as bad as he's made out to be (perhaps the recordings and stories from Chico/Paz were fabricated somehow), or precisely because of how disgusting he is, makes him the perfect friend to partner up with when Big Boss starts becoming hugely disillusioned with the world around him.
